The Ultimate Gift

Posted by Goose on May 6, 2010

time for another write up even though i have not written anything in this thing in almost a month. blame school, and my lack of motivation and ideas on what to write. so i also apologize for the last like 5 posts which were nothing about why i started this blog :P, but here we go back on topic

i shall write about the ultimate gift, winner of a dove award if i remember, which means it has a message for you and something you can get out of it. it is a nice feel good story about redemption of man (hmm where have i heard that story before? can you say….DONE BEFORE?). but don’t take that in a negative light, i like this movie, i’m a sucker for such things.

but we have a trust fund baby, one who has been given everything he ever wanted and thus grew up with the idea money solves everything, and can get you everything. but when his grandfather dies he leaves this dude in his will a series of 12 tasks (lol is he hercules or something?), with the promise that he is leaving the man the ultimate gift at the end if he manages to complete it. but essentially these tasks are designed to help him learn values. like the value of hard work, the value of friendship and family. you see the disjoint that being rich has done to his family, as they have all become stuck up snobby money hungry characters. but this man slowly changes, learns life values, and finds hope and really does gain the ultimate gift, not only physically in reality, but deep down inside as a person. you see a person’s personality completely change as he beings to learn how to life with nothing, and with nothing gains everything.

and that’s my synopsis/review hope you enjoy and see you next time =D
